About the service

Cafe Good View is a coffee shop in Pittsburgh’s Mexican War Streets. This website lets you view our menu, build and submit an order for us to prepare, and leave reviews. There is no charge to use the site, and we do not take payment online — orders placed here are free and prepared at our discretion.

Your account

You can use parts of the site without an account. If you create one:

• keep your login details to yourself — you are responsible for activity under your account;
• give accurate information; the name you choose will be shown to our staff on your orders;
• you must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your state (at least 13, and if under 18, with a parent or guardian’s permission).

We may suspend or close accounts that are misused, abandoned, or used in violation of these terms.

Orders

An order you submit is a request, not a guaranteed contract. We prepare orders at our discretion and based on what is available — we may be out of an item, busy, or closed, and we may decline or cancel an order. Because orders are free, no payment, charge, or refund is involved. Please confirm any allergy or dietary needs with our staff in person (see the disclaimer below).

Acceptable use

When using the site, please do not:

• break the law or use the site for anything unlawful;
• post content that is abusive, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• submit fake or spam orders, or otherwise disrupt the cafe’s operations;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or parts of the system you are not authorized to use;
• copy, scrape, or interfere with the site or its security.

Reviews and content you post

When you post a review or other content, you keep ownership of it, but you give Cafe Good View a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and share it in connection with the site and the cafe. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm it is truthful and yours to share.

We may moderate, edit, or remove reviews — for example, content that is abusive, off-topic, fake, or unlawful — at our discretion.

Food, allergies, and no warranty

Please read this if you have a food allergy or dietary restriction. Our drinks and food are prepared in a kitchen that handles milk, nuts, soy, gluten, and other common allergens, and cross-contact can occur. Menu descriptions and customization options on this site are provided for convenience and may not list every ingredient. Do not rely on this website to decide whether an item is safe for you — always confirm allergens and ingredients with our staff in person before consuming anything.

The site and everything offered through it are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, accurate, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cafe Good View and its staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, liability for injury caused by our negligence). Because the service is provided free of charge, you use it at your own discretion and risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above when we do, and your continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
